Rest In Greatness Phife Dawg🙏🙏🙏

"I like 'em brown, yellow, Puerto Rican, or Haitian."

What's good everybody? Now I told myself I wasn't gonna blog like I regularly do for awhile until I rearranged the energies in my life and got everything aligned like I got my chakras but this right here was just to impactful to not speak on.

I know some people might think I'm not the hippest when it comes to A Tribe Called Quest because of my age and whatever but that don't matter. When you've opened your mind to the galaxy you become more in tune with the different energies in the universe. Basically, what I'm saying is your boy's experience transcends time and space. I've seen and felt moments that have and haven't happened yet and when I tell you I felt this, "I FELT THIS."

How could you not feel the tremors that disrupted the vibrations in the universe when Phife Dawg's spirit went back to the essence. It was like 6 month old me got my blanket stolen from me in the middle of the night and I had to climb out of my crib and crawl around the house to find it. Then I find the masked thief holding my blanket over the trash can where he removes his mask to reveal himself to be Tyga, the human trash can. He starts to spit his trash bars to tell me his plan, so I take my pacifier out of my mouth and throw it like a ninja store at the his throat, busting him right in his adams apple. I then rush to knock him to the ground and begin choking him to death with my blanket.... Yeah....

A Tribe Called Quest is arguably one of the best Hip Hop groups ever born and my personal 2nd (big up to Outkast). But what the Tribe did for Hip Hop or music in general is undeniable. To be able to drop 4 classic albums and one super decent one in only 8 years time is more amazing than Kim Kardashian being able to post a picture with clothes on. To this day you can still fill those albums influence, especially in Kendrick Lamar with his "To Pimp a Butterfly" and "untitled unmastered."

This ain't about the entire group tho. This is about Phife Diggy, one of the main spitters of the group. Hip Hop honestly wouldn't be what it is today if wasn't for him. Phife had it all. The lyrics, the storytelling, the cadence, the mic presence, a competitive nature, and some of the music backing him up. You listen to a lot of these dudes out now and you can trace their styles back to this man. What him and Q-Tip lyrically did together is second only to Outkast (had to shout them out twice. Sorry Phife)

At the end of the day I can't put into words what he and all of A Tribe Called Quest means to music. That's like trying to explain to Tyga how to make good music. It's just not possible. The only thing I can say is to do your googles, your Spotifys, TiDALs, or Apple Music and listen to the music. Let it do the speaking for itself.

All right ya'll be easy.
